Tasks (in class demo, finish on your own):

1.  Sign up for a WordPress blog.

  • Please send me your blog address so I can add it to the course blogroll.
  • Add a test post or two. Consider writing a brief bio, sharing only what you want to – remember, anyone can read your blog.
  • Spend some time playing with your new blog: explore the options/features, themes, add images and/or videos, etc.

2. Sign up for a Google Reader account and subscribe to at least three history blogs from this list.

3. Register for accounts on Twitter and Zotero.

4.  Read Dan Cohen, “Professors, Start Your Blogs” and write a blog entry on what you think about his claim that academics should blog.
